Newborns babies are some of my favorite people to photograph. I’ve learned a few new tricks since the birth of my own child & it’s taken the portraits I create of newborns & children into a whole new level.  It’s interesting how my passions have shifted… I still LOVE weddings but they are marathons for me (you who’ve seen me work know exactly what I mean by this!) As we get older, our passions change.  Some dissapear completely others simply change.

My passion for photography has grown & changed over the years.  I still strive to create that ‘pretty picture’- something beautiful to be treasured.  But I’ve changed my mind about how I can achieve my goal.  I swore I’d never take ‘studio’ photos but all of the images you see below were created in my studio.  I’ve found it can simplify what is a complex process for myself.

I LOVE shooting newborns in my studio!! Just because they are ‘in-studio’ doesn’t mean they have be boring, right?  This was always my hang-up in art school.  Never say never 😉
