Helen & Adam {wedding day}

If I wait too long to blog after I’ve finished a wedding, the words never come to easily.  It’s silly, I pick my favorite images immediately, reliving my favorite moments throughout the day.  I add them to the blog, then I sit & think about what to say…  There are so many stories… but I never know where to begin.

Helen’s day was a whirlwind… not unlike her sister’s wedding (Anna & Jake) that took place in Overland Park 5 years ago.  FIVE.  I couldn’t believe it as I drove back to their mother’s home in Leawood.  The GPS took us to the wrong place; although it had been 5 years, I still remembered how to get there.   It’s uncanny!  I can never remember where I put my phone (EVER!) but I can remember how to get somewhere I’ve been only once!

As I walk into the house, I immediately see fun photos from Anna’s wedding & I hear laughter erupting from every room.  I was again surrounded by a fun-loving family, another joyous celebration of love.  After spending such a momentous day with a family, there are always plenty of stories to tell… but I’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking.

I do want to leave you with a new word I learned, : ‘schmelting‘.

…You’ll have to ask the best man about that one.
