Big Sister Lyla

When I met up with Miss Lyla last week, I couldn’t believe how big she’d gotten.. & how much personality was present in her various expressions!!  How can time pass so quickly??  As I happily snapped away, catching Lyla & her many faces, Kelly reminded me that their FIVE year anniversary was approaching!?!  I took a second to do the math.. it seemed her wedding was just a few years ago..

And didn’t her brother get married just last year? Or was it the year before?  The months & years fly by.. so why do the days seem to pass so slowly?

I snap back to the moment before me & continue shooting.  Lyla wants to show me her little brother, as she yanks on her mom’s shirt she announces that he is in mommy’s tummy.  She quickly turns & skips away telling her parents to follow her onto the grass.  Before the end of the year Lyla will be a big sister.  At the moment, she’s impartial to the idea but I can’t wait to see her take on the role of a big sister.

It’s perfect timing, since Kelly’s brother JUST welcomed a little boy into his family!  By the end of the year, there will be three little babies in this family & the holidays will be a lot louder!!
